Further Graduate Studies Opportunities for UCA Undergraduates

Further Graduate Studies for UCA undergraduates

The University of Central Asia (UCA), through its Central Asian Faculty Development Program (CAFDP), provides scholarships to eligible students from Central Asia to study at elite partner universities around the world.

The central mission of the CAFDP scholarships is to develop capacity among Central Asian scholars who in return would commit to faculty positions across the UCA campuses. This contractual commitment with UCA varies from between two to four years.

The first cohort of CAFDP scholars began in 2008 and over a ten-year period, UCA and its many global university partners provided 42 scholarships in total. The second and current cohort of scholarships started in 2018 for graduate, doctoral and post-doctoral opportunities.

Details on the applications process for CAFDP scholarships are made available on the UCA website early August for admission in the following academic year. More CAFDP details is available on the UCA website.

UCA undergraduates will be invited to submit applications in Fall of each year to the International Office. Shortlisted candidates will then be contacted for an initial interview by the International Office at UCA. Successful candidates would then be expected to apply to the partner universities for admission. Upon receiving a conditional admission offer from the partner university, a final UCA interview would confirm the scholarship award.

The table below lists scholarships that are available to UCA undergraduates on completion of their studies.
